Students taking VirtualSC summer courses, do not forget that courses start today. Your teachers will be unlocking the units at some point today.
Please remember, attendance counts, so you need to be logging in regularly even if you work ahead. You can be counted absent if you do not log in.
Please communicate with your VSC teacher if you have questions about the course materials, but be sure to read all the info and watch any info videos.
Keep an eye out towards the end of July for an email from ILHS telling you when to come in for VSC final exams- they will be sometime the week of July 30- August 5th- all VSC students, even seniors need to take VSC final exams.

Reminder for Students who would like to sign up for ILHS summer school for any core courses with a grade between 50 and 59- registration is today and Thursday here at ILHS. The failed grade stays in your GPA, but you will earn the credit. You cannot have FA'd the course.

Transcript update- LHIS Students- as a reminder, you need to request all official transcripts through Scriborder. Please plan accordingly. You get 10 free documents per year. https://sites.google.com/lcsd.k12.sc.us/ilhcounseling/home/transcripts

Click the Link to Order Transcripts Here
To request an official transcript, click this Scriborder link
https://lancastersc.scriborder.com/
Once on the page, read the descriptions on the left margin to click on the correct place for your order. Recently graduated students are still considered "current students" for purposes of receiving up to 10 documents free of charge.
Students are allowed to request 10 documents (transcripts, immunization, birth certificate, SAT/ACT test scores) for free during the school year. After 10 free, you will need to pay. This is the ONLY way we send official transcripts, do NOT request them by email.
Final Official Complete transcripts will not go out until after June 15, 2025 as that is when they will contain all grades and graduation dates.

Information about ILHS Summer School 2025-https://sites.google.com/lcsd.k12.sc.us/ilhcounseling/home/summer-school

All grade level VirtualSC registration is open now. If you failed a course with a grade between 50-59, you may take credit recovery (CR)- either here during summer school- core courses only- or through VSC- be sure to choose CR and the course name.
Remember with CR the failing grade stays in your GPA, but you get the credit- if you are planning to be a college athlete, do NOT take a CR course.
If you would like to retake a course with a failing grade of anything below 60, the course and failing grade will stay on your transcript, but the failing grade will come out of your GPA and the new grade will be added in. You can retake initial courses through VSC this summer or we can try to get you the class again here in the fall.
Not all courses are available through VSC and seat are filling up fast. Please follow the directions on our website and keep your ILHS counselor in the loop.
Attendance counts in VSC courses, so be sure to log in daily. All VSD students will need to come to ILHS around the end of July/beginning if August to take finals exams- even seniors.

Students who have applied for Dual Enrollment, please refer to the information provided on the ILHS counseling website [https://sites.google.com/lcsd.k12.sc.us/ilhcounseling/home/dual-enrollment], the colleges' websites, or your college email for your questions.
